Rooted in Jesus Means Accomplishing for God II

Want to accomplish for God and be a witness for Him? Get rooted in Jesus and bear fruit. Many saved people bear little or no fruit, and as a result, fail to live a life that glorifies God.

In 2 Chronicles 32 and 2 Kings 20, Hezekiah proved to have had bad root. After much success and great riches stored in excess, he failed to give God credit for his blessings. The fruit we bear is meant to be used to glorify God.

Just as we live and teach our children by our own example and live the way we expect our children to live, we must practice that same principle as church members and fruit bearers.

The Church is a seed bed. The church is where we develop a root system so that we can produce fruit and spread seed or the Word of God to the world.

Isaiah 37:31
and the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

John 15:8
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Our fruit identifies who we are. We don’t look, talk, act like the world. The world needs to know our citizenship is in heaven. God expects us to have fruit that the world cannot produce.

We must be good church members to guide new Christians to produce righteous fruit and spread seed. If we expect good church members, we must be good church members. If we expect righteousness in a saved person, we must be concerned about the root.

Jeremiah 12:2a
Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit…

The fruit of a Christian is another Christian. If a Christian is not a fruit-bearing Christian, it is because his root is bad.
