Nothing can take the place a gathering together in God’s house, in a place of worship. Preaching the word of God ushers people into His presence. The word of God is eternal and inherent and undebatable. God’s word is instruction and water for a thirsty soul. This world is looking for a people who live and walk what we preach. This world wants to believe nothing is too hard for God.

Abraham is called a friend of God and the father of all the faith. God made a covenant with Abraham that if he would walk in His commands He would make his family as many as the sands of the sea. God promised He would bless those who blessed him and curse those who cursed him. Abraham blindly followed God’s commands for most of his life. By faith Abraham followed God’s direction.

Faith is a positive response to God. God made a promise to Abraham so he moved by faith without sight of what was coming. Many events tested his faith while on the path to following God and His promise. Abraham made several mistakes while also depending on God and His guidance. God made a promise and despite Abraham’s weaknesses He fulfilled His promises. Waiting on God is difficult but rushing His promises will only make the wait seem longer.

Sarah and Abraham had to find faith and believe nothing is too hard for God. When they thought the promise would die with them they tried to take things under their own power. God has a plan and His promise will come about in His time and by His power. Don’t abandon His promises. Come into His house and worship and pray and bless His name. With patience God will bring His promises to pass.

Abraham asked, “Is there anything too hard for God?” Jeremiah said, “I have searched the whole world over and I have decided there is nothing my God can’t do.” The angel told Mary, “With man it is impossible but with God all things are possible.” We can declare, “My God can do anything!”
