Who is The Saviour

Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved! There is NO OTHER. He is the sole Creator of all living and breathing and The ultimate Judge. You must know Him as your personal Saviour to enter into Heaven. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6. God loves all of us and doesn’t want anyone to be lost. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

What does it mean to be saved

Being saved means that you have asked God to forgive you of  your sins and to come into your life and follow His ways. Being saved also means that you will spend eternity in Heaven with God instead of eternity in hell. Once you are saved you must continue to seek God and His righteousness, we are not once saved always saved! The Bible is clear that we must continue our relationship with God and follow Him.  Romans 6:1, 2 … Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Romans 6:2 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Then once you die you will live with Him in Heaven for eternity. The alternative is when you die you will enter hell filled with pain, fear, and anguish for eternity. There is no other destiny.  Even ignoring or procrastinating is a decision, 2 Corinthians 6:2: …Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

How to be saved

We are born sinners and have to make a decision to follow God. Romans 3:10 …“There is none righteous, no, not one;  Rom 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

Romans 10 verses 9 and 10 says: if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If you want to be saved and know God the Creator, The Lord Jesus Christ, then sincerely pray this prayer:

“Jesus I realize I’m a sinner and I believe You died on the cross for me. Please forgive me of my sins and come into my heart.”

It’s that simple, now believe you are saved. Tell others what God has done for you.

What to do Next

Continue to walk with the Lord:

  • Pray – Talk to Jesus as a personal friend, He is near you now. “You are My friends if you do what I command you.” John 15:14 NKJV
  • Read the Bible – The Bible is The Word of God and should be used for guidance and instruction. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV
  • Find a Church – It’s important to be surrounded with a believing family of God that supports one another. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 NKJV
