JUNE 6th…ACTIONS!! SOMEONE IS FOLLOWING YOURS!! One phrase that my mother used frequently was “Actions speak louder than words.” What we do says so much about who we really are. How many people do you know today that have the same occupation as their parents? How many children do you know that behave much like their parents? How many children do you know that have the same habits (good and bad) as their parents? How many Alabama or Auburn fans raise children that pull for the same team? Our actions are being watched. Every step we take is being followed and every word we say is being heard. What we do each day has an influence on the future of those closest to us. (Deuteronomy 30:19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.) We need to remember this verse each time we are faced with an important decision to make. Life is not all about us, it is about us leading those who are watching us also. If we believe what the Bible says about the joy of the Lord being our strength, then let’s walk so that our children enjoy the life and joy of knowing God. If we believe that Satan only comes to steal, kill, and destroy, then let’s make choices that teach our children to seek first the kingdom of God. You footsteps are being followed.
