Everyone loves a party. Webster’s says a party is a social gathering of invited guests for entertainment and fun. Most parties started as gatherings with family and friends for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and special holidays. The present culture has parties for just about everything and their parties have turned from good family fun to drinking, drugs, and other activities. Jesus invited people to come be his disciples and follow him. He asked them to join His party. I believe walking on earth with Jesus was not only inspiring and hard work, it was also a lot of enjoyment. God tells us that we need to enjoy our walk with him. (Proverbs 15:13 A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.) There is no happier place in the world than knowing you are where God wants you to be. God sends out invitations daily for us to follow Him and enjoy the party. There is so much work to be done for the Kingdom of God, but thankfully we can have fun and enjoy our life while we do it. When we follow Jesus, we are not going to a solemn assembly or a funeral. We are joining His party that is full of life, peace, and never-ending joy! Pastor Don [image: image.png]
