DECEMBER 12th…REMEMBER!! HE DOESN’T FORGET!! Winter is finally arriving in Alabama and it reminded me of something that happened last winter. My wife and I leave home rather early in the morning, so I got up and started my wife’s car and my truck so they could warm before leaving. I went back in and finished my devotion time and my coffee, told my wife goodbye when she left, and then got prepared to leave for the office myself. I put my wallet in my pocket and my cell phone, but I couldn’t find my keys. I searched everywhere for them, including the dirty clothes that I had worn the day before. Ten minutes passed before my search lead me back into our bedroom and I heard my truck motor running and I realized where the keys were. I had forgotten I had started my truck. I am so glad God is not forgetful. He remembers every promise He has made to us. His eye is continually on us. God loves and watches out for all of us. (Hebrews 2:6 But there is a place where someone has testified: What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you car for him?) Have you ever stopped to think God never forgets anything? He knows everything from eternity to eternity, every person who has ever died, every living person now, and everyone who will be born. God remembers every promise in his word and keeps them to us. Have you forgotten? Has it been a long time since you searched out his promises? You will find his promises are just as warm today as the truck was when I remembered where my keys were. God loves and cares about you! Pastor Don
