If you and I do not learn from life’s experiences we continue to waste time and effort going through them. For a lot of people 2021 has been a mirror of 2020 because they learned very little from last year’s experiences. The Bible teaches us to examine ourselves and see whether we are growing from our life lessons. (2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you, unless of course, you fail the test?) When you go through difficult times in life you should ask yourself two questions. What are the benefits of what I just faced? Look for the things in your experience that made you stronger, wiser, and helped you mature in life. The second thing you should look for is patterns. Look for the things that cause you to fail, remain the same, or what causes you to keep doing the same thing over and over. There is value for all of us in the lessons life sends our way.
