I have watched children around water and heard their parents say, “You have to watch them, they aren’t afraid of anything.” I’ve seen children climbing places that you shouldn’t be climbing heard parents say “They will try anything.” I wonder how many times our Heavenly Father looks down at His children and speaks these words? Are you one of those kids? In our devotional verse this morning, Paul declares himself to be one of those who is not afraid. (Acts 22:3 A am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city. I studies under Gamaliel and was thoroughly trained in the law of our ancestors. I was just as zealous for God as any one of you are today.) The word adventurous means to be inclined or willing to incur hazard, bold enough to encounter danger; daring, courageous. We were created by God to have goals and to pursue them, then set greater goals and press toward them. When we become fearful and doubt our future, we become frozen in the same place day after day. Regardless what you are facing today, good or bad, you must be brave, adventurous, courageous, and face it with zeal and enthusiasm. God is by your side, you do not have to be afraid.
