This day, Valentine’s Day, has become known for showing love to those you are in relationship with and let others know the importance we put on the relationship we share with them.

We are where we are and who we are because of relationships. All our securities and insecurities are the result of relationship. Scars from relationships are the guide we use to choose new ones. We were made for relationships, created to love others. We need one another and are dependent on others to enjoy life fully.

Relationships that will change your life:

1. God

Ephesians 2:6
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

I don’t have to just have a head knowledge of God but a life-giving, spirit-lifting dynamic relationship with him.

2. Church

Ephesians 2:19
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

Your church is a place where you can come and find encouragement, strength to get through the next week, healing, joy, true happiness, a helping hand, where my spirit is uplifted.

3. Godly Friends

Acts 2:44
And all who believed were together and had all things in common.

Your friends can make you or break you. There are people who can never find victory because they run with defeated friends. Relationships with Godly friends means we have common interests, common goals, and a common spirit.

Benefits From Godly Relationships:

1. Encouragement

Hebrew 3:12-13
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13. But, exhort one another every day, as long as it is called day, that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Encouragement comes from having a right relationship with God, church, and friends.

2. Pray

Colossians 4:12
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

We often underestimate the value of having people who pray for you and serving a God who can answer those prayers.

3. Honesty

Ephesians 4:25
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

The right relationship with God, church and friends will allow you to be yourself, to remove the mask and find freedom to love, worship, serve, and grow like God intends all of us to do.

Romans 1:11-12
For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you.
12. That is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each others faith, both ours and mine.

Relationships with one another brings about healthy spiritual growth. Our faith is increased by the hearing of the word Andy hearing the testimony of what god has done for others.
