WHO AM I?? THE CAPTAIN’S SON!!

I read the story of a young boy who walked up to a man on the fishing pier and asked, “Has the steamboat passed yet?” The man on the pier said no. The young boy said, “Good, I can still catch it.” The fisherman said, you will never make it to the landing in time, it is 2 miles up river. The young boy replied, “I’ll just catch it here.” The fisherman told the young boy that the steamboat only stops at ferry landings, so you can’t catch it here. The boat soon came into view and the young boy began to wave a red handkerchief. The boat turned and came to the pier to allow the boy on board. As the young boy was boarding the boat, he turned to the fisherman and said, “The captain is my dad.” How many of you know that God goes out of His way to pick us up in life? Just like the young boy’s father, God sees us when we wave our red flags of life before him. (Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.) You belong to God. You are the captain’s son. You have the privilege of getting God’s attention anywhere and at anytime. God is always ready to come to your rescue. He is watching over you daily and He sees everything you are going through in this life. Take advantage of the Parent/Child relationship you have with him. He is ready to come to where you are right now. Pastor Don
