Satan uses many tactics when he attacks you and me. It is good to know that there is not an attack that God has not provided us a shield of faith to defend ourselves. One of Satan’s specialties is having us think critical thoughts about one another. It’s always easy to see something that others are doing or not doing, especially when looking through the lens Satan wants us to look through. Another tactics Satan uses is worry and fear. He will have you worrying about things you have no control over and fearful of things that do not even exist. The good thing about being a child of God is He always prompts us when Satan is trying to lead us wrongly. We have a shield of faith to defend ourselves against these attacks. (Ephesians 6:16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.) No matter what lie the devil is whispering to your mind, don’t believe him, but instead use the sword of the Spirit that is the Word of God. Replace thoughts of criticism with thoughts of humility and love. Replace fear and worry with trust and confidence. Faith is a shield, and it will protect us in every battle if we will “lift” it up by simply declaring our trust in God. Pastor Don
