SETBACK?? TIME FOR A COMEBACK!!

The coronavirus has definitely caused a major setback to our country and our world. It is important to realize with every setback it is our responsibility to trust God for a comeback. We have all experienced setbacks in our lives. You can’t avoid having them. You may lose a job, a relationship may crumble, or your health may fail you. When setbacks come, we often begin to fear what will happen next, which way to turn, or what the outcome will be. But, as a child of God, you do not have to live in fear. (1 John 4:16,18 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 18. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.) You can break free from the chains of fear by simply remembering two important things. Remember last week was EASTER and recall just how much God loves you. Your setback hasn’t caused Him to think any less of you than before. When you allow God into the front door of your life, fear has to exit the back door. Love and fear can’t stay together in the same life. Remember that God’s plan for your life is always good. God doesn’t plan bad things for you, but, that doesn’t mean you will not face bad things in life. Romans 8:28 tells us that all things work together for our good. When Jesus died on the cross, God brought tremendous good out of the bad. Anyone can bring good out of good. God specializes in bringing good out of your bad. Remembering God loves you and remembering God’s plan for you is good, revolving around you choosing faith over fear. In the middle of your setback, you have to put your faith in God’s love and plan for you. It is the only plan to move forward with your life. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
