Fear is something we all deal with in life. Fear can come from so many different angles and often hit us without warning. Fear can be overwhelming at times. God knew we would face fears. Fear is addressed in the Bible by many different writers, so their audiences throughout history knew the feeling of fear. In fact, fear is referenced 365 times in the Bible. Hopefully you don’t need to overcome fear everyday of the year, but God put a verse in the Bible for you for each day of the year. (Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.) As we watch God work in other people’s lives, we need to understand that He will do the same thing for us. God is no respecter of person. What He does for one, He will do for everyone. Think about the shoes that Joshua was about to fill. He knew there was no way that he could be Moses. God made sure that Joshua realized He didn’t expect him to be Moses #2, God expected him to be Joshua #1. Fear often comes when we begin to measure ourselves against others and feel we don’t measure up. Just remember, God knew what He was doing when He called you. He knew what your capabilities were. God knew that through you He could minister to others. Don’t fear, just do what God has called you to do. Find your security in Christ. You will never be afraid. God will never leave you nor forsake you. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
