It seems as soon as stores completed Halloween sales they are immediately turning to Christmas. More and more, each year, Thanksgiving is becoming the forgotten day of Holidays. The more blessed we become the more we forget about the Blesser. How many of you can remember the time when you were not as blessed as you are today? How did we get to where we are? We were blessed by God. (Psalm 95:1-3 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. 2. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. 3. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.) Let’s return the month of November and Thanksgiving to it’s original intention. Let’s be thankful for the blessings God has provided us with, our health, our families, our church, the food on our tables, and for a God who lives in us and hears our prayer. I can remember going to work with a sandwich in a brown bag and drinking water because I didn’t have enough money to buy a coke to drink. I remember times when we couldn’t make it from payday to payday without picking up extra jobs. I know the reason I am where I am today is because of the blessings from God. Let’s don’t skip Thanksgiving. It’s really important to be thankful for what we have. All good and perfect gifts come from above!! Set aside one day each week this month to be thankful for something God has done for you. Remembering where you have been gives where you are now much more meaning. Pastor Don
