PRACTICE IMPROVES PERFORMANCE!!
How many of the things you do without a second thought did you have to learn to perform? More than you think, I promise you. Things like walking, sports, relationships, and the list could go on and on. How did we become good at what we do? We practiced! Not everyone learns at the same age. I remember children that were walking well before they turned one year old, while others were well into their second year before they accomplished walking. The common thing between both was the fact they had to learn through practice to maintain their balance and take multiple steps. In our spiritual lives, it is still important that we practice Godly things everyday. (1 Timothy 4:15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.) Practice reveals the changes needed in our life to remove the old and enjoy the new that Jesus brought . It would be so much simpler if God instantly changed us into what He wants us to become, but He chooses to take it one day at a time. The learning process can often be difficult, a little scary, and require all of our effort to reach the next level. Make an effort today to practice your new life every chance you get. You will be surprised how much better you become through your efforts. Pastor Don
