In this communication age we live in, nothing is more frustrating than to need to get in touch with someone and them not answer the call. How many of us have experienced that in your life recently. Caller ID allows us to pick and choose which calls we answer and which we allow to go to voicemail. If you knew God was calling you, would you answer His call or allow it to go to voicemail. The reality is that we have or will receive a call from God and the call will be beneficial to our daily lives. (Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.) The call we receive from God will not come to your cell phone, but it comes directly to your heart and it is a personal one to one call. God calls each of us to individual purposes in life and gifts us to perform the task. All the people we read about in the Bible had personal calls from God to fulfill special task. Noah built an ark. Abraham followed God to a new land. Moses led the children of Israel out of bondage. Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem. Peter preached on the day of Pentecost. Paul established churches and wrote many books in the New Testament. Everyone has a call from God to do something with their life. You and I receive equally important task to fulfill in our lives.
