We often label people as “morning people” if they wake up like today is a gift I just received and I’m so happy to have it. Others are difficult to wake in the morning and get up grumpy and don’t seem to want to get the day started at all. I don’t know about you, but the older I get, every morning there is another part of my body that doesn’t want to cooperate like previous years. It is easy for me to complain about each part that hurts, doesn’t want to bend right, or lets me know that I over extended it the day before. If we are not careful, we start our day complaining instead of praising God for another day He has given us. God loves it when we acknowledge Him and tell Him just how much we love Him first thing in the morning. (Deuteronomy 4:39 Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.) Praising God starts your day right. Start thanking God as soon as you get out of bed in the morning. (Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of our lips that openly confess his name.) Jesus told us in John 7:38 that if we would believe in him, streams of living water would flow from within us. When we start our day with praise instead of complaining, the water of life flows within us to make our day start right and it flows out of us to help those around us start their day off right. Jump start your day and the day of those around you. Give God Praise this morning. Pastor Don
