I have never been a very fast runner. In fact, I have always been a little overweight and slow of foot. I wanted so badly to be chosen to play on the team of some of the better players, but I was always one of the last ones chosen if speed was needed to compete. I would have done anything, or given anything I had to have been chosen to play on their teams. Often it left me feeling embarrassed, left out, not good enough, or not wanted. I would have done anything to change my situation. I look around a world of people who also deal with rejection and I see them doing almost anything to fit in with the crowd. You need to know that you have been chosen. You are part of the team. (Galatians 1:10 Am I trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.) The feeling of insecurity steals your joy and also can cause major relational issues as well as health issues. Many of the people on nerve pills today are dealing with the feeling of rejection. Much of the depression that people are feeling today came from a sense of being rejected by someone. Stop selling yourself to others, giving your time and effort just to be liked, or being someone else’s doormat just to be with them. You have been CHOSEN by GOD! He loves and adores you just like you are. Stop seeking the approval of those around you and know that you have the approval of our Heavenly Father. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
