There is a new technology being used in several sporting events these days, it is called instant replay. The officials can go back and look at the previous play if there is any doubt on its outcome. I guess doubt is a part of everything in life these days. When is the last time you’ve gone through your checkout receipt to make sure you weren’t overcharged? Or, the last time you double-checked the work someone said they did for you to make certain they did all they said they did? OR, WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU BEGAN TO BELIEVE GOD WAS NOT GOING TO DO WHAT YOU HAD BEEN TOLD HE WOULD DO FOR YOU? Doubt is a strong, negative force straight for Satan himself. Doubting God’s Word is what caused Eve to partake of the forbidden fruit. (James 1:6-8 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.) Make sure you jot this down in your memory bank….Doubt never comes from God. Doubt is always in opposition to His will. Doubt is in opposition to faith and tries to push faith aside and replace it with worry. Time is one ingredient that causes many to lose their faith and begin to doubt whether God is ever going to answer their prayers. The greater the force of doubt is allowed to consume your life, the more certain you will not receive what you ask for. Faith is the only weapon we have that will defeat the power of doubt. When you feel doubt creeping in, remember the previous answered prayers in your life. Remember the last door God opened that seemed to be shut. God has not changed. He is still the same.
