Fruitfulness

Fruitfulness Part 1

If Jesus is in me, I will bear His fruit for others to witness. God prunes so that we can bear MORE. He wants us to be more.  He will not prune that which has no intention to bear fruit in the first place. What doesn’t bear fruit will eventually die.

Fruitfulness

God intends for us to be fruitful. “God forth and be fruitful.” Identity is found in fruitfulness.

Matthew 7:16-20
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

2 trees/2 fruits
Good tree/good fruit
Corrupt tree/corrupt fruit

Romans 6:8
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Galatiant 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

John 15:1-6
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If Jesus is in me, I will bear His fruit for others to witness. God prunes so that we can bear MORE. He wants us to be more.  He will not prune that which has no intention to bear fruit in the first place. What doesn’t bear fruit will eventually die.

Hebrews 12:6-8
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth wit you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye illigetimate, and not sons.

Whom the Lord loves, He chastens. If you’ve never experienced His chastisement, you are an illegitimate son.

You either have a tree of faith or a tree or fear. If you go the way of faith, all things are possible. If you go the way of fear, you will live a life of dread and despair. To remedy this, uproot that tree and call on the name of the Lord.

Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not : but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Luke 13:6-8
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

Often we want to discount those we feel will never be more than they are now. God will plant you in a place of safety and security. With care and attention, some may still not produce. But thank God, there are those who will not give up. People God has gifted to dig around the hard soil and fertilize with the Word and fruitfulness of the Spirit.

The Word of God and the Spirit of God are two things you can not do without.

Jeremiah 17:7
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
