FRIENDS!! THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

In this time when we are separated from each other we need friends to help keep us going. Friends have a huge impact on the success we enjoy in life. How many of your activities depend on someone else to motivate you to keep going. A trip to the gym is often omitted if the other partner can’t go. A morning walk is often skipped if our co-walker is not able to make it today. How many of our New Year’s resolutions have stopped because the others we were depending on to keep us strong have stopped their efforts? Our lives are so dependent on friends. They help us keep going. The Bible tells us that we must keep pursuing the goal and purpose God has for our lives. We need friends to help us reach those goals. (Colossians 2:6-7 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him. 7. Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.) Throughout the New Testament, we are told to walk in wisdom, love, light, and obedience. We’re told to walk as Jesus walked. We’re also told to walk alongside other people. Here are three reasons we need to walk with other people. It’s safer. Have you ever walked alone at night through a dark alley or down a lonely country road? It’s a little scary. But if you have another person with you, you feel safer. It’s supportive. Life is not a 50-yard dash. It’s a marathon! Walking with other people gives you the energy to keep on going until the end. It’s smarter. You learn more by walking with others than by walking alone. If you’re walking alone in the wrong direction, you may never realize it. But if you have a friend beside you, one of you is likely to recognize that you’ve veered off the path and need to find the right direction. We learn some important lessons when we walk alongside other people. We learn how to get along and cooperate with others. Life was never meant to be lived alone, call your friends today and enjoy your walk in life. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
