How many of you know people who are notoriously late? Every time you plan on doing something at a certain time you always have to wait on them to arrive. How many of you have had a friend or family member who has been gone for a long time and you couldn’t wait to talk to them when they arrived? How many know the feeling of calling someone and they do not answer your call? You know they see you are calling, but will not answer. God feels the same way about you. He can’t wait to be close to you. The good thing about God is that He is available 24/7 and waits for your call. (Isaiah 30:18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you: therefore he will rise up to show you compassion…) Did you know that every day you go without prayer and spending time with God and his Word, God is waiting for you? You were made for this. You were made to know God and have a relationship with him. The Lord waits for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. It’s the whole reason you exist!
