DISAPPOINTMENTS CAN DERAIL YOU!!

Life never happens like we want it to all the time. Our prayers don’t always receive the answer we are looking for. Everything doesn’t turn out as we plan in life. When things don’t turn out, prosper, or succeed as we plan, a feeling of disappointment can overwhelm us. It’s human to feel this way, but we must deal with that emotion or it will continue to control you and your future. Paul taught us to let go of what is behind. (Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. 14. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.) It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in life. But when disappointment comes we must ask God to give us a re-appointment. It doesn’t mean that we ever forget what has happened, it means we don’t allow the event to totally derail our future. I know people who have faced great disappointment in life, but they have been re-appointed and live life with purpose. I know people whose life has been totally derailed by an event and they have never gotten past it. Bad things happen to good people. Don’t allow your disappointment to keep you from reaching the potential God has for your life. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
