DAILY ROUTINE OPENS DOORS!!
When family or friends call me on my cell phone, they usually begin the conversation with questions like, “where are you? what are you doing? or what are you to? I usually reply with one of these answers, I’m where I’m supposed to be, where are you?, or, I’m doing what I need to be doing, what about you? Or, I might be a smarty and say “if you are writing a book, leave my chapter out. LOL! Their questions are to determine whether I’m available to do something they need help in getting done. My devotion this morning talked about two men that were where they were supposed to be, doing what they were supposed to do, and were available to be used by God because they were in their usual place. (Acts 3:1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer, at three in the afternoon.) They were headed to the temple at prayer time. How many of our problems in life would be solved if we maintained a daily prayer time? Not only would we be able to overcome our problems, but we could also help others with the problems they have in their life. The lame beggar by the gate was certainly glad Peter and John were where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be there. You will never be all you can become for God until you find a daily routine of prayer and Bible reading in your life. When you have routine times of communication with God, it opens your life to be yielded to the things of God instead of the pleasures of the world. Where are you? It’s prayer time! Pastor Don
