Complete in Him

Complete in Him

God is working mightily in you! He will complete what He started. Any other message from any other source is a lie. We are complete in Him.

God has a purpose for our life before we were ever born. Everyone of us has a plan designed by God. We are each one of us anointed with His grace to complete the purpose and plan He ordained for us. It’s important to let our light of Jesus show to men that God will get glory. When we do the thing that God called and anointed us to do, He receives glory. He wants our testimony and reputation to say something about Him.

In Colossians, Paul’s primary goal was to present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. That is that they be spiritually mature. Jesus has this plan of bringing all the redeemed to God. He has made a way that He can present us to God blameless. Jesus is committed to completing the work He has begun in each of us. He will not take His hand off of us until He has finished what He has started. He will not let go until we are complete in Him.

Colossians 1:28-29
28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

Indications of Spiritual Maturity

-A deep concern for our brethren in Christ
A concern for each other is what Jesus desires for us to feel for one another.

Colossians 2:1
For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh.

-A heart that is encourage
It is the will of God that we serve him with hearts that are full of comfort and encouragement. A troubled and anxious heart is not the mark of a mature Christian.

Colossians 2:2
that their hearts may be encouraged…

-A heart knit together in love with other Christians

Colossians 2:2
…being knit together in love…

-A full assurance of understanding
As one matures in Christ, the assurance will increase and it is indeed one of the riches we have in Christ.

Colossians 2:2
..and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding,…

-A knowledge of the mystery of God

Colossians 2:2
..to the knowledge of the mystery of God, [b]both of the Father and of Christ,

-Good order and steadfastness of faith
The word steadfastness suggests that a mature Christian is one whose walk as a disciple is in proper line with what is expected.

Colossians 2:5
For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing [a]to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

Take hold of what Jesus has for you. It is a gift offered to you for the taking.
