When I did something that turned out bad as a child, my parents would tell me that I should have known better. How many decisions have you made that didn’t turn out like you thought they would? How many times have you decided to do things that you thought would benefit you only to find out otherwise? We have all made bad decisions. None of us can see the future. On our own, we can only guess what lies ahead and the directions we choose often aren’t the best one. The Bible says choosing our own paths is not wise. (Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.) God wants you to be on the right path and He will guide you to that path if you let him.
