Last weekend was the NASCAR race at Talladega. The beginning of the race a car, called a “PACE CAR,” leads them around the track at about 55 mph. The green flag drops and the race cars run close to 200mph. Why does the pace car only lead them at 55mph? It’s the speed they have to slow down to when they come into their pits to get tires, gas, and adjustments. We need to learn a lesson from the pace car. We need to learn to slow down our hectic pace of life long enough each day to read the Word, Pray, and let God make adjustments in our lives. ( Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.) Run the race at full speed, but, when caution flag comes out be willing to slow down and let God refuel you. Your Crew Chief (GOD) knows what adjustments you need to run even better. Pastor Don
