WATCH YOUR WORDS!! HURT OR HEAL!!
My devotion this morning in 2 Kings talked about a group of people that were titled “slingers.” They were people who defeated their enemies by slinging rock and dirt into the wells and contaminating their life source of water. When the water was gone, they could overtake the enemy with little fight. We know people who accuse, judge, condemn, criticize, and find fault in everyone and everything. Those are people we DON’T need in our lives. We certainly don’t want to become one. (Psalm 63:1 You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.) The one way to make certain you are a source of encouragement and edification to others is to stay in the Word. It is so easy to get caught up with the crowd. It is so easy to be swayed by others influence and opinions. Today, you will have the opportunity to sling rocks and dirt to pollute the water, or to share water and life to a thirsty soul. The choice lies in your hands. Pray and ask God to allow you to be a source of life to someone today. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
