Christ needs to preached to a confused and weary world. God is calling for an unleashing of the spirit filled church.

We are a society of groups. Meeting together for different purposes. There is no other group like the church. Society wants to confine the church to insignificance. Christians must refuse to be quieted. There is no social group, counselor, or government that can do what the church can do. Where Christ if revealed there is life and deliverance. Christ can work through His people to unleash the power to defeat the purposes of the enemy. God is calling for an unleashing of the spirit filled church.

The world wants to confuse the church and cause the church to look more like the world. The church must remember who it is. The church is filled by the Spirit of God and should walk that way, talk that way, and act that way. The enemy is threatened by the people of God. The enemy will persecute the people of God and the church.

The Message

When the enemy thinks he is dispersing God’s people, the people scatter and preach the Word. Whatever the enemy tries needs to be met with the Word of God. Wherever the enemy tries to take you, take the Word of God with you. God’s purpose is to turn the church lose to bring all people unto Him.

Acts 8:4-5
Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Christ needs to preached to the world. Christ preached as the answer to every question, every problem, every dilemma, every decision. Jesus gives an inheritance to all who believe and follow. Our mission is to spread Jesus and His plan for salvation.

The Product

Things happen when the Word is preached. Signs will follow the believer. The believer should not follow signs. Signs and wonders follow when the word of Jesus is preached. When Jesus is preached the enemy is evicted. Great joy will come on those who preach and hear the word of Jesus.

Acts 8:6-8
⁶ And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.⁷ For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.⁸ And there was great joy in that city.

What once controlled and confounded, can be replaced with great joy. The power in the preaching of Jesus will destroy and disperse what once confused. The bonds of hell can be broken. Wickedness will come under conviction and repentance will bring great joy.

Acts 8:9-12
⁹ But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:¹⁰ To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.¹¹ And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.¹² But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

The Beauty

A desert place can follow a great revival of spirit. The desert will always have a purpose. God will always guide and provide where He calls. The Word must continue to be scattered. Go, walk, run where God sends. The church must be willing and ready to carry the Word of Jesus.

Acts 8:26-30
²⁶ And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.²⁷ And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,²⁸ Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.²⁹ Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.³⁰ And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

The same Word from the mountain tops is still the answer in the desert. With an unleashing of the spirit filled church comes a scattering of God’s saving power.

Acts 8:35
³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
