The Breath of God
Call on the breath of God into what is causing you terror. We need to look at our dead situations and preach life into them.
The Breath of God
*Ecclesiastes 11:5-6
Twice in these verses Solomon says we do not know how the miracle of the creation of the human body takes place. The breath of God brings about that miracle. Only the breath of God can bring about your dreams and the work you have been called to complete.
If you are experiencing pain, disappointment, and loss, you need to know God can breathe life into something you never thought could be alive again. When you give on a situation is when God usually shows up and breathes life into it. There is a God in Heaven Who can change things for good.
Night terrors is a condition when a sleeper is caught in between sleep and awake. Christians get caught between faith and fear. They fight everything around them until they wake up and breathe the breath of God. God loves us so much that when we are caught in between and we see it as trial and confusion, God sees it as an opportunity to wake us up and show us He was working something for our good. You may be reacting too soon before God has an opportunity to lead us in the direction we should go.
Acts 9:1-15
Meanwhile, Saul was still And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
Breathing gives you the ability to make sounds and speak. Good things. Bad things. Blessings. Cursings. Life. Death. Paul was breathing threats and carrying out murderous acts. But God breathed His mercy upon him and he became a vessel and an instrument of God. Spirit and breath are the same word in Hebrew. Except the spirit come on you, you cannot be saved. The wind in the upper room was the breath of God. The breath, wind, spirit of God is our salvation.
Ezekiel 37:1-13
The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.
4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.
5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
We need to look at our dead situations and preach life into them. Call on the breath of God into what is causing you terror. Dry bones become life breathing answers. Where there was no hope God can breathe life and you will know He is God. God has prepared a day when we will be with him in glory.
*Ecclesiastes 11:5-6
5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
6 Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.
