THANKFULNESS OVERCOMES COMPLAINING!!
Complaints are something you hear everyday. It can be about the weather, your job, your relationships, or just about anything else you can think of. People are quick to find an excuse or complain when asked to do something. Our children were always grumbling and complaining about chores, but they loved the reward for doing them. The only way to overcome complaining is with a change in our daily attitude in life and to God. We have to learn to replace our complaints with thanksgiving for our blessings. (Philippians 2:14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing.) When we maintain an attitude of thanksgiving, we close the door to grumbling and complaining, which seem to be ever-present temptations in our lives. The truth is we don’t develop a complaining attitude; we are all born with one. But with God’s help, we can develop and nurture a thankful attitude. If we practice regularly praising, worshiping, and thanking God, there will be no room for complaining, fault finding, and murmuring. Complaining opens the door for the devil to cause us trouble, but thankfulness opens the door for God to bless us. Close the door of complaining today by being grateful for the things you have.
