The hardest way to move is against the flow. I have enjoyed swimming since I was just a young boy. There is nothing like being able to move your hands and feet and your body simply glide through the water. I have never been able to swim as fast as other people, but I could always swim long distances because I learned to flow with the current. My mother taught us boys how to lay on our back, relax, and just float on the water. It seems impossible, but when you relax, the water will support you with ease. God’s word tells us that God has waters that will carry us through life if we learn to relax and just flow with the current. (Psalms 36:8-10 They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. 9. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. 10. Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.) The Bible says God’s mercy and loving kindness are new every morning, prepared to carry us through another day. It isn’t just waiting for us, it is new, fresh, powerful, and refreshing every day. We need to get into the current early each day and learn to relax and flow with the power of God’s presence in our life. You’ll be amazed how your day will go with God by your side.
