There are no instant relationships. It takes time and effort to develop more than just a surface relationship. There are people in your life who you love to be around, do things with, and spend your time with. The more time that you have spent doing things with them, the better you two have gotten to know one another. You probably have people in your life by now that you would do anything for and they would do anything for you because of your relationship. There is nothing like the feeling of having people to do life with. Moses had this same feeling through the relationship he had developed with God. (Exodus 33:13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.) When you develop a long-time relationship with God it is evident in your life. You are able to handle things in life more calmly, you get along with people more easily, you are happier, and you are able to remain stable in difficult times. Developing a long-time relationship with God yields big benefits. The more time you spend in the Bible and prayer, the more like God you become. People notice the difference in your life.
