APRIL 11th….SATURDAY!! DAY OF CHANGE!! COVID19 has changed our world in a way none of us have ever experienced. Today we are doing things we have never experienced and never expected. Shelter-in-place, isolation, wearing masks and gloves, unemployment, scrambling for simple things in life like toilet paper and groceries is unprecedented in our lifetimes. It is a different day. I think back over two thousand years ago to a day much like today when Jesus disciples were facing a day like they had never experienced and had never expected. Their leader, mentor, inspiration, encourager, and the one they loved so much had just been crucified. They had run for their lives to keep from being killed by the angry mob themselves. They were scrambling through their thoughts trying to make sense out of what they had just seen and what they were facing today. Saturday was a day of change they had never experienced before. I am so thankful that it is in times like today that God always shows himself mightily. He is always closest when we feel isolated and helpless. God always knows how to life us up. (Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.) God is the one who can speak a word into our lives that lifts us up and gives us hope. He is the one who can take the load we are under today and give a path to walk through this difficult time. (1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.) God invites us to throw all our stress, worry, anger, aggravation, disappointment, and hopelessness on Him. God is still in charge. There is nothing impossible with him. Call on him.
