REMEMBER THE EVENT!! REMEMBER GOD!!

Where were you when 9/11 happened?” This is a question that will be asked before my day becomes very old. What we were doing may not have been so important had it not been for the events of that day. Now, we all remember vividly what we were doing when those horrific terrorist attacks happened on September 11, 2001. The footage of those planes flying into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and crashing in the field are seared into my mind though I was hundreds of miles away. The response of people all over America is always cemented into my mind. People rallied their family together to hold them, gathered in communities to pray, and held church meetings to pray for victims and to pray for America. In times of tragedy, we find our security in God. (Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.) It is sad that it often takes a tragedy for us to realize how important God is to us, our family, and our nation. America is where we are today because God is who He is. God has been the one who has prospered, blessed, established, and secured our Great Nation. Let us always remember the source of all our blessings. (Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.) So as the victims of the recent hurricane began the rebuilding process, tornado victims sort through what is left, victims of acts of violence begin their recovery time, families sort through major events that have happened, REMEMBER WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND REMEMBER THE GOD WHO WILL SEE YOU THROUGH IT. We all will remember where we were when events happened, I am just thankful I know the God who has brought us to this point since 9-11-01. Put your trust in God, he never fails. Pastor Don
