Graduates this year have gone through unprecedented tests in order to earn their diplomas. The pandemic added new hurdles in their paths to cross. I have heard students in college and high school talk about the stress of taking those exam tests. These tests prove that you are ready to step into the next level of life, profession, or school. Tests were first given by God to prepare us for what lies ahead of us in life. Tests that stress us also help prepare us for our next stage of life. (1 Peter 4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.) God allows us to be in far less than desirable situations to test our progress. The tests are designed to show God is there for us regardless of what we are facing. When the tests of life comes your way, you know that God is planning a promotion if we pass the test. Don’t complain, grumble, or blame others for the things you are going through today, they are only a test. If we learn to give God praise and trust him through our valleys, God has a beautiful mountaintop for us to advance to. So, if you are going through a difficult and trying time today, discipline yourself not to complain, but instead give God praise and glory. Today may be your graduation day. After all, God issues our report cards and hands out diplomas. Pastor Don
