Managing My Mindset

Things will change when our perception changes. Managing my mindset is what is happening when we’re asked, “What are you thinking?”

Peter first had a thought, then climbed over the bow of the boat to walk on the water to Jesus. The miracle began with just a though. We all know of David’s moral collapse, and all of his thoughts began with a thought. Things change for David when his perception changed. Managing my mindset will bring about the change Jesus intends.

Satan Will Always Bring A Thought To Destroy You

Unless you allow it, satan cannot take away anything that God has given out. So our adversary, the devil will try to affecter thinking with negative thoughts producing doubt and fear, and trouble our hearts with impatient fits of worry. The heart is the seat of our emotions and cognitive understanding. It is the center of our belief system and where faith dwells. Faith is our immune system against thoughts of defeatism and fear. God had given them a strong word of commitment, telling them that He, Himself, would not only go with them but also fight for them and save them.

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive his sins, but God alone?

Luke 21:34
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

God Will Always Bring a Thought To Deliver You

It is sometimes painful to realize that God has carried us as far as our thinking would allow. It’s painful to realize that if we could have changed our mindset, God would have carried us further. The children of Israel were turned away and wandered in the desert wilderness for 40 years, not because God would not fight for them, not because God would not provide for them, but because of what they thought. We are where we are in our spiritual journey because of what we think and feel. God is as big as we believe Him to be. God can do all that we can perceive exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we are able to think or ask.

Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my son will I praise Him.

Psalm 73:16
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me

Ephesians. 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worth in us

I know that thou canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholder from thee

2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ

Acts 8:22
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
