Love is the bond that ties us together. Loving others and being loved is what gives us confidence in a world that seeks to destroy your self esteem, goals, and your dreams. It is difficult to love others without knowing that you are loved. It is impossible to be loving unless you remember and understand the way God loves each of us. We need to tie a string around our finger so we can be reminded daily the way we are loved. (Isaiah 54:10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.) When we remind ourselves that God loves us, it helps us to love others. God’s love means we are completely accepted. No matter what you have done or will do in the future, you can’t escape God’s love for you. God’s love means we are loved unconditionally. God never said I will love you if you do ____. You can’t stop God from loving you because it is not based on what you do, but on who He is. God’s love means you are totally forgiven. God doesn’t keep bringing up the things He has forgiven you of, you are free from your past. God’s love means you are extremely valuable. The two things that determine value are, who the owner is and what someone is willing to pay for it. God owns you and paid a tremendous price for you.
