All we hear are reports of bad things happening in the world. There is so much gloom and doom broadcasts that it is easy to get caught up in thinking you have it so bad this morning. It is up to you to choose to be happy today. How long would it take for you to think of something you wish was different in your life? Something you wish you didn’t have to deal with today? You have already thought of something haven’t you. We have a choice to make each morning, you have the choice to enjoy your day and be happy or to be upset with what happening to you and live today miserable. Walking with God and enjoying the abundant life God has for us is based on your decision to live life and be happy, not based on the circumstances you face today. David gave us a great Psalm to teach us to made a firm decision to be happy today. (Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.) Start today by saying out loud, “I am going to enjoy my life today.” It’s time we quit letting Satan push our emotions around with all his negative junk and take control of our thoughts for today. Satan wants to steal your happiness. You need to take authority over this joy thief and begin your day giving thanks to God for all His blessings. (Psalm 118:1 O give thanks unto the Lord for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.) Let’s repeat this together….”I have made up my mind that I am going to live in happiness today. I refuse to let my circumstances steal my joy.” Starting your day with the right mind-set always helps in every situation. Pastor Don
