Hunger to Grow the Kingdom in 2023
God’s word tells us that it is His will for us to not only exist in a hostile environment, but actually increase.
Obedience is greater than sacrifice
Obedience is greater than sacrifice. Doing right brings great dividends. It isn’t easy anymore to distinguish God’s people from the world. We need to have a testimony to teach people about God’s way. That objective has been made very difficult in these last days, but God’s word tells us that it is His will for us to not only exist in a hostile environment, but actually increase. Gathering the harvest is our most effective means of maintaining an ongoing Christ-centered, God-honoring presence in the harvest field of God’s assignment for us.
On the day of Pentecost 3000 souls were saved
On the day of Pentecost 3000 souls were saved at the conclusion of Peter’s sermon. After the healing of the paralytic man at the gate of the Temple, Peter and John were arrested, but the number is now 5000 men.
Acts 19:20
In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.
It’s’ God’s will that we grow. Its’ His will that we go forward and preach His gospel, sing His praise, and grow in grace. Every person is a person God sent His son to be saved. God loves people. God cares about people.
Acts 2:47
praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
In order to grow the community, we must experience a personal trend of spiritual growth. Using the Lord Jesus as an example, our journey up in the Lord must be patterned after the life of the Savior, walking in His steps. We must realize our littleness in His sight! All we like sheep have gone astray! All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God! No man can stand in his own righteousness, we must admit our total dependence upon Him.
Colossians 1:16-17
16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Disrespect and disobedience does not go unnoticed. In the great message of the book of Jeremiah is what lies behind what appears to be the fierceness of the wrath of God in dealing with a people, and learning, from chapter to chapter what kind of God is behind the promised judgement.
Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things
and beyond cure.
Who can understand it?
Jeremiah 18:12
But they will reply, ‘It’s no use. We will continue with our own plans; we will all follow the stubbornness of our evil hearts.’”
Jeremiah 18:15
Yet my people have forgotten me;
they burn incense to worthless idols,
which made them stumble in their ways,
in the ancient paths.
They made them walk in byways,
on roads not built up.
God is so powerful and great and vast that our finite mind cannot take it all in. We have a glorious gift of revelation and information in God’s eternal Word to give us light which only pales in view of the creator’s sovereignty and majestic power. We can only see through the glass darkly, but with the Lord does reveal to us, we will make an attempt to catch of His omnipotent power today.
Ephesians 1:19-20
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That poweris the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
Matthew 28:18
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Deuteronomy 9:29
29 But they are your people, your inheritance that you brought out by your great power and your outstretched arm.”
Do you know Him? Are you ready?
