Have you watched a child get frustrated when they are not able to do something? They get angry at the bicycle they haven’t yet learned to ride. They get angry at the blocks they have not yet learned to build with. Have you also noticed how they work with peace and joy when they allow someone who knows who to ride or build help them? It’s amazing the difference in their ability when they accept the help of others. Humility is a tremendous asset to us regardless of our age. (1 Peter 5:5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves in humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.) Humility is knowing that we cannot do life on our own. We need help and our help comes from the Lord. If you find yourself feeling frustrated today, stop and examine yourself. Are you attempting to live life on your own? Have you forgotten to include God in planning your day? Working on life without God equals frustration. Doing life with God equals peace and joy.
