Can you imagine the whirlwind the disciples had just lived through. Can you imagine the uncertainty they were feeling? Jesus, the one they had been following for the past three years was gone. They had to play back the way the past week had changed in their minds over and over. The triumphant entry, the last supper, one of their own betraying their leader, the crowds crying crucify him, the cross, the tomb, and now even the resurrection. What has happened in my life in the past few days had to be something they were attempting to sort through. Will they same people be coming after me next? The hardest times in our lives are the times of uncertainty. When we don’t know what to expect next can be difficult for us to handle. Waiting is never simple. The one sure thing we as believers can hold to is the promise God made us in His Word. (Jeremiah 29:11-12 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.) Yes, we all face times of uncertainty. Sickness, relationships, loss of a best friend or family member, can leave us feeling uncertain as to what tomorrow may hold for us, but God knows what you are going through and how you feel. You can find peace in the midst of your storms if you realize God is with you. Find hope in your uncertainty, put your Faith in God. Pastor Don
