Eternity Promised
Jesus is the only way to be saved. He died once and will not make another way to be saved. It was done once for an eternity promised.
Eternity Promised
The written word of God gives the authority and power to do and claim what it says. Jesus preached the word and they did not want to believe Him. God was fulfilling His word of an eternity promised through sending Jesus. The people could not comprehend and rejected His teachings rather than allowing a heart and mind change. Paul told the Romans in his letter about accepting God’s word with their heart will bring about a transformation in their mind releasing them from the servanthood to sin.
Romans 6:17
But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.
Choose Eternity
Jesus was offering them the choice of eternity. They found these to be hard teachings. The teachings of Jesus was about eternal life. God is passionate about our succeed. He came that we might have eternal life and have it more abundantly. We cannot understand His timing and His plan. It will come in the season He has chosen.
Psalm 90:16-17
16 May your deeds be shown to your servants,
your splendor to their children.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.
The Only Way to Eternity
Jesus is the only way to be saved. He died once and will not make another way to be saved. It was done once for our eternal future.
John 6:68-69
68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
When God, through Jesus, spoke to us about a resurrection, He promised eternity to all who believed Jesus is the only way to an eternity promised. We are spirit and soul and body. The only part that will decline is the body. Our bodies will at once become unfit for our spirit and soul and immediately will be in the presence of the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Once we receive this eternity promised of God, we will never leave His presence again.
Daniel 12:2
Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
