I don’t know of many people who don’t like to talk about the things they are going through in life. They love to tell you of all the aches and pains they deal with daily. They love to tell you the disappointments life has dealt them. They love to tell of the struggle they are living in today. They love to talk about their problems. Today’s devotional verse says for us to stop talking ABOUT our problems and start talking TO our problems. Jesus made a radical statement when he said for us to speak to the mountains in our lives. (Mark 11:23 Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.) See, we usually talk about the “mountains,” or challenges, in our lives, but God’s Word instructs us to talk to them. And when we do, we must respond to them with the Word of God. Every temptation Satan made toward Jesus was met with the Word. We have a tendency to do this for a while and then quit when a response isn’t immediate. Constantly speaking the Word to your mountain is powerful and absolutely necessary in overcoming your problems or negative situation. Know what you believe and stick with it to the end. Pastor Don
