DETOURS!! EXPECT DELAYS!!

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get somewhere in a hurry and running into things that delay us. If you have traveled the interstates in our area lately. especially at night, you know about all the road work going on. Lane closures, delays, detours, and it taking much longer than you expect to make the journey you planned. You can get frustrated and angry or you can just take your time and advance as an opportunity opens. When God gives us a mission for our life, you can be sure that you will run into delays. Things will happen that will slow the work. It is a natural part of life. The key is to be ready to handle them so you do not become discouraged. Noah is a great example for all of us in dealing with delays. (2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.) Noah worked 120 years building the ark and not one person encouraged him. Noah trusted God’s warning about the future and nothing was going to keep him from completing his mission. Noah’s faithfulness not only saved his life, but it saved the lives of his family and preserved the existence of all the animal life. Don’t let delays and detours get you side tracked. God gave you a mission and He is there with you when things aren’t going as fast as you would like them to go. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
