CRITICISM!! LEARN TO HANDLE IT!!
How do we respond when someone challenges the way we do things? Do we respond defensively and immediately look for things the other person is not perfect in? We all miss the mark sometimes and people will be quick to point that out. It’s how we respond to that criticism that is important. (Proverbs 15:5 A fool spurns a parent’s discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.) Confident, nature people can listen to criticism, consider and pray about it’s content, then do what they feel the Spirit is guiding them to do. Not all criticism has merit, it is often just another opinion or point of view. It’s important that we don’t feel challenged and become angry, defensive, and isolated every time people disagree with us. Learn to evaluate the evidence. Change when you need to change, but always handle criticism with maturity and thoughtfulness. It will make you a better person. Pastor Don
