Every successful athlete has confidence they are able to perform their role successfully. Confidence is the reason we fish with certain lures, play golf with certain golf clubs, drive certain vehicles, shop certain stores, talk only to certain people, or go to a certain church. Confidence is the difference between success and failure in almost any area of our life. People with little or no confidence are double-minded, indecisive and are constantly frustrated in life. They are like those people that the devotion verse this morning described as tossed to and fro. (James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.) In your spiritual life, you must have the confidence that God is able to do what you ask him to do. You must believe that He will do it for you. A lot of people believe God can do miracles, they just don’t think He will do it for them. God is no respecter of person. God’s promises are for His children and they are real. The only difference between those who receive from God and those who do not receive is our faith. God wants you to know that He loves you. God wants you to rely on Him for everything you need in this life. God wants you to have faith that He will do what you ask of Him in faith. Confidence in God.
