CHANGE?? IT TAKES TIME!!

[image: image.png] How many times have you seen and incident, accident, or sickness cause a person to make a decision to live better. I’ve had people tell me they were going to live better when they got over their recovery. I watched people get a wake-up call, decide to do better, only to let the new decision fade from their memory in a few days. Often because they do not change their relationships when attempting to change their life. So, they quit! They cave in to old habits, old addictions, old desires, and old lifestyles. Change is HARD! Change takes time. Change means making one good decision after another until you see the evidence you want to see in your life. It means looking at today, making the right choices and living them out. (Proverbs 4:25-26 Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. 26. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.) You didn’t develop your addiction in a day. You didn’t get 50lb over weight in a day. You didn’t begin this bad relationship in a day. Don’t expect one good decision to be enough to erase the bad ones in a day. BUT, one good decision today can change today for you. A good decision tomorrow can turn tomorrow around. Start today by making the good choices that will result in a positive change in your health, relationships, and spiritual life. Change takes time, but, it is worth the effort. Don’t be a quitter! Pastor Don
