The hardest step to take in many situations is the next step. We are torn between the struggles of yesterday and the promise of tomorrow. Life’s biggest battles come when we are standing at this particular crossroad. The biggest battles often comes first thing in the morning, just as you are starting your day. Satan will begin to remind you of everything that went wrong yesterday as well as every failure you are capable of making. Satan goal is to keep you living in your yesterday and steal today from you. Don’t let the enemy steal God’s promise for today from you. God has promised today can be better, better than our yesterdays. (Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, and stretching forward to the things that are before, 14. I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.) You don’t have to be afraid of repeating the past. If you believe God is greater than your sins, mistakes, and shortcomings, you will have the spiritual energy and the strength and the grace of God to help you press on and do better in the future. The dreams of your future have no room for the disappointments of the past. They will keep you stuck and weighted down. Every day can be a new beginning if we make a determined decision to press on to achieve the greater things God has for us today. God’s mercy is greater than yesterday’s mistakes. Pastor Don
