People are so inconsiderate of one another these days. I watched as two drivers tried to beat each other to a parking spot yesterday. One of the drivers was a younger man and the other was an older lady. The two almost hit as both hurried toward the parking spot. It seems that we are in such a hurry that we don’t even consider one another anymore. We are all out for ourselves. “Please” and “thank you” are seldom spoken in our dealing with other people. God teaches us that if we have His love in our hearts, see people as He sees them, and profess to be His child, we should show the characteristics of His love in our lives. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud, 5. Or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.) Being courteous to one another is a way to show kindness and respect. We should never take loved ones and others for granted. They were allowed to be in our lives by God. Being rude usually is a result of selfishness. We are looking out only for ourselves. Our society is filled with rudeness, harshness, crudeness, and selfishness. They need an example of God’s love displayed to them every chance they get. Make it a point today to show kindness and be courteous to those you have opportunity to do so. Shine a light in the midst of all the darkness around you. You may be the love someone needs to feel today. Pastor Don
